WHO WOULD BE THE NEXT SCIENTIST? : Benin city science quiz competition

Are you based in Benin? Do you have

flair for science as a field? Are you in

senior secondary school or about to take

the 2016/2017 UTME? If your answer to

all the above questions is: yes, then the

IEF Science Competition is for you.

About IEF:

The Israel educational foundation

(IEF), is foundation whose primary focus

is to rekindle the lost passion of modern

students towards science. Science in the

modern society has been painted as

uninteresting and unprofitable- we now

dole out millions of naira in musical

contests, dance competitions and the

likes, while the bedrock of national

advancement (science) is left to suffer.

And since the easiest way for mediocrity

to thrive is for excellence to do nothing

IEF has taken it upon itself to right this

wrong. This science competition is hope

fully going to be one of the agendas of IEF

to re-beautify science in Edo State and the

country at large.

The IEF is the brainchild of master Israel

Nmoye (popularly called cyano) a

seasoned biology and chemistry tutor

known all over Edo State. He is an

Author, and a graduate of the prestigious

university of Benin where he earned a

B.sc in Biochemistry with honors.

How to Enter:

Simply get a recent copy of any of the

author’s new books (jamb science

encyclopedia for biology or chemistry)

and detach the form at the back. Fill it

and bring it with you on the day of the

exam.

You can grab a form for 500 naira only

from any of the lecture houses below:

Gorilla Brains (Ugbowo or any of the

branches)

Creative Lecture House (Okhoro road, by

Obaseki, Benin- city)

High Flyers Lectures (opposite Payne

primary school, New Benin, Benin-City.)

Where/When Will The Contest Hold?

The preliminary stage will hold at:

Faculty of Engineering, 1000LT.

University of Benin. On the 20 th of

February, 2016.

The Grand Finale will hold on 27 th

February, 2016, at the Main Auditorium

(Akin Deko Auditorium), University of

Benin .
